06 August

The Heritage Tournament was an outstanding success; although a little damp on Saturday the sun shone on large crowds for the final day on Sunday. The teams came from Pakistan, Switzerland, USA, Malaysia, Argentina and the British Army Officers. There was some really close matches but finally the Malaysian Team from the Royal Pahang Club came out on top. Tony Ramirez from Images of Polo was there to record it all. Some of his photos are on the site otherwise visit:www.imagesofpolo.com/gallery_259945.html

The Round Ground has now closed for the summer as the Academy goes on recess but Barbie and Rafael are still here for stick and balling and Chukkas on Barossa.

The new OIC Polo, Major Adam Lawrence has taken over from James Gaselee.

25 July

Some how the rain stayed off us yesterday despite some ominus clouds and an early downpour, which delayed proceedings. The "Alumni Team" defeated the cadets after the Cadets had taken an early lead in the first chukka to retain the "Al Attiyah Trophy". In the Inspirational Development Group "Leadership and Excellence" match the Francois Lurton Team held off a well disciplined "Asian Art" team from the Royal Berkshire. We were also fortunate to have Pascal Fricard from Francois Lurton with who bought with him some wines to sample. They were delicious, if you would like to know more about them, please follow the link:
